Independant thinking is a vital skill to be learned at uni and something that I struggle with. It’s very hard to be the person who disagrees with the lecturer or writes an essay opposing every major traditional theorist in the area or being the only one talking in a silent lecture theatre. LifeHacker has pointed my in the direction of 10 Tips on How to Think For Yourself! from Life is a Journal which has some tips on how to foster independant thinking. I’ll be trying a few of these when uni goes back on Monday – there’s some really good stuff there.
